The University of Fondwa, USA Inc. (uFondwa USA) is a U.S.-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. With the belief a critical component of Haiti's future lies with young leaders, and with the development of rural Haiti, uFondwa USA was established by U.S. citizens inspired by the work of UNIF - and other grassroots rural initiatives in Haiti.
uFondwa-USA accomplishes its mission by:
- Soliciting financial, material, and technical support for UNIF’s operations in Haiti.
- Promoting awareness of the successes and challenges of UNIF.
- Fostering relationships with international organizations and institutions of higher education that seek to collaborate with UNIF.
- Making grants to UNIF for capacity building, scholarships for students, and for other special projects.
- Identifying and also supporting other initiatives that empower economic development in the rural sectors.
uFondwa USA offers donors access to the tax advantages a U.S. nonprofit organization can provide, while conducting the due diligence in Haiti that donors require and deserve.
