The University of Fondwa, USA (uFondwa USA) has established a new scholarship fund to support students aspiring to study at the University of Fondwa (UNIF) in Haiti. UNIF, known for its majors in Agronomy, Veterinary Medicine, and Business Management, offers a five-year program that blends academic rigor with practical experience in a rural setting. The scholarship provides $3,000 per year, covering the full tuition of $15,000. uFondwa USA aims to offer 200 scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year, employing a "pay it forward" model where graduates contribute 10% of their earnings once employed. This initiative seeks to eliminate financial barriers for qualified students and promote sustainable development in Haiti.
