Overcoming all Odds and Hurricane Matthew

Maggie Bellabe-Charles, BSPsy, MPA Vice President of Administration and Planning Interim President of the University proudly reported that uFondwa’s returning students began classes on October 18th.

They will be joined on campus in November by the 26 new students that will be distributed across all three academic disciplines: Agronomy, Veterinary Medicine and Business Management.

Remarkably, the opening was only a few days behind the original schedule in spite of the wide-spread damage caused by Hurricane Matthew which roared through Fondwa on the 4th of October.

On Opening Day, Maggie shared her thoughts via email with University of Fondwa USA President, Buddy Steves:

“Hello everyone, I hope all is well.  I would like to inform all that the University of Fondwa has been “Officially Opened”
for the new academic year 2016 to 2017.

We could not wait any longer because we have a full course calendar year that we need to keep.

I want you to know that could not be possible without your tremendous support and extraordinary effort!!!

Even though we’re apart, I know we share this great sense of achievement.

I know Father Joseph is extremely proud”.img_0190

“We are extremely grateful for all the help, prayers, psychological and monetary support we have received. Please keep uFondwa, Fondwa and Haiti in your thoughts and prayers. Thank You to All!”
